Description
The “Tutta Frutta” Bergamot Compote is produced in Calabria with organic bergamots grown in Bova Marina, in the province of Reggio Calabria, in the heart of the San Pasquale Valley, a stone's throw from the Ionian Sea among the hills on the slopes of the Aspromonte.
The area is known for its citrus fruit production, which thrives here thanks to a perfect microclimate and extraordinary soil fertility.
Storage instructions: Store in a cool, dry place. After opening, store at 0°C to +4°C and consume promptly.
Serving suggestions: Excellent for breakfast and as a dessert filling; good with cheeses and meats. The optimal serving temperature is 12°C to 16°C.
Properties: Bergamot can be considered a good dietary source of nutrients and antioxidant compounds, particularly flavonoids, anthocyanins, and polyphenols. Total polyphenols and flavonoids contribute significantly to antioxidant activity thanks to their anti-inflammatory and anti-atherosclerotic properties.
Note: Free from gluten, allergens, colorants, preservatives, flavors, thickeners, and pectin.
The color, aroma, and flavor are typical of perfectly ripe fruit, free from off-flavors.
